Innovations which IPL must Implement

On Field Commentators

In the Australia Vs England T-20 International match in 2007 Adam Gilchrist was wearing a mike up while batting, he promised to deposit the next ball over the mid-wicket boundary prior to the bowler delivering the ball and he did exactly that. Imagine how terrific it will be for Indian fans if MS Dhoni is mike up and he replicates Gilchrist in IPL. Players sharing insight from the ground will make the viewing experience even more fun.

Two Bouncers

That fiery spell of Wahab Riaz to Shane Watson in the Quarterfinal of the World Cup grabbed the attention of the whole cricketing fraternity, not only this, the Indian bowlers as well used the short ball as a potent weapon in the World Cup 2015. But the aggressive short pitch bowling of that caliber won’t be seen consistently in IPL as rules allow only 1 bouncer in an over in the IPL match.

Zing Bails

These LED bails were the striking element of the recently concluded World Cup 2015. It was introduced in the BBL first, and it became a massive success and further captivated the attention of ICC and they introduced it in World Cup. The cost of a set of LED bails is approximately 25 Lakhs, but the costs involved have never been an issue for the cash rich IPL.

Set-up Fan Park

In the Football World Cup last year as many as 5 million people watched it at a fan park on a big screen with friends and family. The IPL authorities were pondering over implementing it this year but could not do so. Establishing Fan Park can well be an exciting experience for every fan of the game. Where a stadium like atmosphere can be created at smaller centers of the game and thus spread it to unreached corners.
